Andrew Fothergill
Managing Partner
Andrew Fothergill is the managing partner for Blue Anchor Property Management in Quinte West. His journey in the real estate and property management industry began as a teenager, doing odd jobs at a family-owned 20-unit apartment building. In his early 20’s, Andrew was hired into a maintenance position, and cared for a sprawling 250-acre campground and trailer park. His desire for hands-on work experience later led him to the carpenter’s union where he honed his skills in scaffolding, formwork and trim carpentry for private contractors.
As he settled into family life, Andrew broadened his knowledge base by acquiring both his life license and mortgage license. As these fields of service have overlapped, Andrew has developed a deep understanding of the financial world, the intricacies of safeguarding one’s assets and has assisted clients as they navigate the complexities of property financing.
It all comes together in property management. This venture has provided Andrew with the opportunity to use the skills he’s developed over the years while simultaneously accomplishing one of his own personal objectives – helping others.
By blending his diverse skill set with a genuine desire to make a difference, Andrew is committed to elevating the living standards and enhancing the real estate experience for both property owners and tenants alike.
Amani Sharma
Leasing Manager
Amani Sharma is the Leasing Manager at Blue Anchor Property Management, a professional with a zeal for real estate that has been cultivated since childhood. From dragging her parents to every open house in the neighborhood to contributing to marketing strategies for her sister's interior design business, she brings a unique perspective to the dynamic world of residential properties.
With over 10 years of experience in Sales and Marketing, Amani has collaborated with key stakeholders to define and refine sales processes, as well as spearhead impactful marketing campaigns. She is a proven expert in building enduring relationships that evolve into successful long-term partnerships.
Amani is a native speaker of English, Hindi and Punjabi, as well as honing a professional level of French from living and working in Montreal, Quebec.
She was particularly drawn to the role of Leasing Manager due to its unique essence of community building and service. The opportunity to play a pivotal role in helping people find a place to call home, while simultaneously safeguarding the investments of others, resonated profoundly.
In the role of Leasing Manager, Amani combines her passion and expertise to provide exemplary service to both landlords and tenants, ensuring seamless and successful leasing experiences for all involved.
Jillian Hoftyzer
Administrative Coordinator
Jillian is the Administrative Coordinator at Blue Anchor Property Management. Originally from Stratford, Jillian relocated to Belleville to attend Loyalist College where she held the role of Resident Advisor, varsity volleyball player and Student Government President.
After receiving her diplomas in Public Relations Event Management and Fitness & Recreation, Jillian worked for Loyalist College in various contract positions across several departments such as Residence, International and Recruitment.
From orchestrating room locations for over 500 students, to the day-to-day tasks of each contract position, Jillian has a flair for keeping things organized and running smoothly. Having taken some time off from the working world, Jillian spent the last three years executing the role of House Manager. This jack-of-all-trades job (or Jill-of-all-trades), led Jillian to acquire stronger multi-tasking and problem solving skills while optimizing efficiency when creating and carrying out family schedules.
